In January 2004, I deleted my old life and achieved an old dream: I became a student at St. John's College. As I type these words in July 2007, I have recently graduated from St. John's and been hired by a software company in the greater Los Angeles area.
As I began at St. John's, my Web presence mattered very little to me. I deleted most of this site, leaving only my résumé. Now that I'm re-entering the software industry, this site gains a renewed importance. Still, my four-year-old résumé is no longer relevant. It is accordingly removed from this site.
What I should do is put other stuff here, starting with an updated résumé, but I always seem to do this. Rather than merely updating my site, say, or even replacing it with something more up-to-date, I take it down. One hopes the replacement site won't be too long in coming.
